paramore; last sunday, was completely awesome. i think i went completely insane; jumping and moshing, and my whole body was hurting the whole week! / the week was braw, though. i could barely keep myself awake but it was definitely better than last week, so.

i've been feeling super empty lately. i don't even know how to feel. i'm proper beat and little things piss me off, like. i don't even know...i love the super awesome kids around me, though! / after school, i took the bus home with shafiqah. we chilled with each other for over an hour; and talked and bitched, and i feel much better now.

• thank god it's friday! / i arrived in school late @ 0945 / we had a GP diagnostic test or something @ 1200. it was relatively simple, i suppose. in the evening, i went to the optician to get new contacts! then, i bought new shoes + other stuff!
• yesterday was the last day of orientation.
  i love my class! / 1A09 / house time was a bore.
  in the late afternoon, there was a mass picnic.

2009 has come to an end. the year was amazing! hands down! it was pretty linear between may and november; due to all the studying and exams. but it past by really fast, so that was ok. the rest of the year was definitely memorable. i met a lot of really nice people too! i'd really miss TKGS 4E2 '09 - best class ever.

next year's resolutions are pretty similar to this year's!

• get into a good junior college.
• study; and do well in school.
• quit acting impulsively.
• manage my time well.
• take advantage of every opportunity.

• what i'll be missing due to the prelims: anberlin @ baybeats and lady gaga. i'm miserable.
• out of the sixteen days of holiday we had; i managed to stay at home for seven days! i completed all my homework, so. i feel accomplished.

• rafael nadal reminds me of josh groban? speaking of josh groban, shia labeouf seems a tad obsessed with him.

michael jackson was perhaps one of the most misunderstood and loved souls of this world. our generation has been lucky to witness the meteoric rise of a truly talented and one-of-a-kind artist. many have come and gone, but michael jackson will always remain the undisputed king of pop.

forget the media circus that surrounded him, forget all the negative press. at the end of the day, this single man has contributed more to music than thousands put together. he revitalized pop, transcended fads and fashion, and remained an icon for decades. he holds the record for having the best selling album of all time, a feat that hundreds of thousands of people have never come close to beating. his dance moves were mimicked but never matched. his music videos revolutionized the concept of mixing music with movement and video to what we know it to be today. any single man who can rise to such heights is to be respected and admired, if not for his talents, then for his accomplishments as an artist.

as a testament to how truly remarkable his achievements are, one only needs to walk out of one's home and ask anybody on the streets, anywhere in the world, if they have heard of michael jackson. he joins legends like elvis presley and and the beatles in the valhalla of the music world.

this world never seemed to have brought mj much peace, from his difficult childhood to his troubled trials. now he has transcended it, and will be immortalized in the hearts, souls and minds of all the lives he has touched for the rest of human history. it is the least he deserves for all his accomplishments that have shaped not just the music world but the entertainment industry to what it is today.

michael jackson: a true icon and legend of our time. RIP MJ.
